Winter Woods

For youth in grades 6-8, Winter
Woods is held each year at Beckwith.
This is an opportunity for middle school
youth to gather with new friends and old
for a time of fun, worship, and
celebration.

EYC on Sundays:
Middle School: 4:00 - 6:00 pm
High School: 5:30 - 7:30 pm
(Dinner is served at 5:30)

Sunday School for our children
At 9:15, our children ages pre-K through 5th grade gather
in the chapel for a story and worship. Then they go to their
rooms for Sunday School, which begins at 9:30. The theme
for Epiphany is When Jesus Was a Child.
For our Junior and Senior High
Sunday School for Middle School (6th through 8th graders)
and High School (9th through 12th graders) begins at 9:15 in
their respective rooms. Each group will continue their
discussions and explorations of the Episcopal Church and
how faith is relevant in the world today.


EYC Parents' Meeting
Sunday, September 16
4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
All parents of youth in grades 6 -
12 are asked to attend this meeting
which will be held in the parlor.
When Does EYC Begin?
The first regular weekly EYC of
the new school year is September
23rd. The Jr. EYC (grades 6-8) meet
4:00 to 6:00 each Sunday and the Sr.
EYC (grades 9-12) meet 5:30 t0 7:30.


EYC Haunted Woods Preparation Saturday, September 8 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Here is your chance to get together before the weekly meetings begin. We will gather at Redeemer Episcopal to work on some of the props for the annual Haunted Woods which will be October 27th. Be sure to wear clothes that can get messy. We will be walking the woods to lay out the route, painting, gluing, and planning. Lunch will be served. Please bring $2 to help offset the cost of food. The Haunted Woods is an annual event which focuses on reaching out to the community and bringing together youth from the Episcopal churches in the Mobile area. Don't miss out on this opportunity for some spooky fun!

The Christian Education Program includes Sunday School for all ages (including adult), a Youth Program headed by a youth minister (Salt and Light, EYC, Happening, etc.), and Vacation Bible School.


Sunday School Offerings:
9:15 a.m. - Children's Chapel followed by Classes for all School Age
Children's Sunday School
Sunday School registration forms for the Mustard Seeds
(K-4 through 1st Grade), the 2nd and 3rd Grade Class, and
the 4th and 5th Grade Class will be available on the main
table in the upper hall, and the classrooms will be ready
for your visit. Bring your Sunday Schooler up to his/her
room and check out their surroundings and meet their
teachers. All of these classes begin with Children's
Chapel beginning promptly at 9:15.
Middle and High School Sunday School
Both our Middle and High Schoolers gather at 9:15 for
their respective Sunday School programs. Both classes
learn about the Episcopal faith, Holy Scripture, and how
both of these influence their lives as they mature and grow.
Adult Sunday School
By request, the Sunday morning adult study series on The Anglican Communion, The Episcopal Church, and The Windsor Report will continue this Sunday at 9:30 am in the parlor.
The Inquirers Class for adults meets in the Meginniss Library on Sundays at 9:30 am. All adults either new to the Episcopal church or long-time members interested in learning more about the Episcopal church are invited to join the Curate in the Library on Sunday, February 25th at 9:30 to begin the Inquirer's Class. The class will meet for five Sundays in Lent. All adults interested in Confirmation in April should plan to attend. If you need further information or have questions, please call the Curate at the Parish Office.

Needs:
Large juice cans (48 oz) are needed for use in delivering altar flowers to our sick and shut-in folks. We've almost used up our collection, and during Lent, we need to restock.
